Zinc Phosphate
Zinc Yellow is an Anti-Corrosive Pigment used to manufacture Anti-Corrosive Primer Paint Systems. It is White in colour. The anti-corrosive effect is available by the fact that aqueous extract from Zinc Phosphate provides
inhibitive chemicals. Oxygen and water are essential conditions for corrosion to take place. When Zinc Phosphate in the primer comes into contact with water, it is extracted and crystallizes out on the surface of metal and forms
a fairly dense coating. Thus this aqueous extract is corrosion-resistant.
The microcrystalline phosphate coating effectively retards the corrosion of metal and provides a surface to which paint adheres more strongly than to
plain metal. The phosphate coatings retard the spreading of corrosion under the paint film in case the paint is damaged by mechanical action.
This pigment is recommended for Primers used for Ferrous Metals. Micronized grade
of this pigment is also available. These Products are used in the manufacture of Synthetic enamels and is highly recommended for Epoxy primers, Marine coating, Unicoat coating, Eatch Primers, Coil coating etc.
